Master Gardener Margie Carpenter will lead a tour of Justin Morrill’s ferme ornée, discussing the influence of Andrew Jackson Downing on Victorian landscapes, Morrill’s adherence to Downing’s principles, and his experimentation with plants from Europe, Asia, and South American. Gallery in the Garden: Silent Auction of Morrill's Minis & Art Show

The annual Gallery in the Garden art show opening and silent auction is a highlight of the Upper Valley art season. This year’s event will feature works by fine artists from Strafford, the Upper Valley and beyond, each responding to the theme “Reflections.” The art show will remain on exhibit through July 21 during the site’s regular hours of operation. Open House

Join us for an ice cream social, live music, and the chance to mingle with Justin Morrill, as interpreted by David McWilliams.  Free house tours will be available on the hour in conjuction with the Vermont Days weekend.
