August 13 - SATURDAY 8:00 AM 17th Annual Battle Day 5k
Early race times, registration starts at 7:00 AM – race at 8:00 AM. Register online https://www.raceentry.com/social-media/m-click/74131
5k starts at the Monument to the Bennington Airport and return. Children’s fun run around the circle follows the return of the 5k racers.

BATTLE DAY WEEKEND CELEBRATION
BENNINGTON BATTLE MONUMENT * 10:00 PM – 4:00 PM
In August of 1777 a decisive battle took place 9 miles from a much-needed storehouse, where the Monument now stands. A small contingent of minute men and farmers stayed behind guarding the storehouse.
Reenactors will be onsite to discuss the importance of the Battle of Bennington and what life was like for Colonial Soldiers. An ongoing outdoor event. A Battle re enactment will take place at the Bennington Battlefield in Waloomsac NY.

August 13 - Saturday – starts at noon
Moodus Fife and Drum presentation – A free open-air concert with the Moodus Fife and Drum takes place on the lawn of the Bennington Battle Monument. A 131-year-old tradition, the Corp played at the dedication of the Monument in August of 1891, same drums and same style. Bring a chair or blanket and sit back and enjoy an afternoon of 18th Century

POTLUCK DINNER WITH RE ENACTORS
Old First Church Barn 5:00 – 6:30 PM
Bring a potluck dish or $5.00 to enjoy conversation and food with the 18th Century Guardians of the Bennington Storehouse
music.
