Pink Bedroom or Louise's Room

Pink Bedroom or “Louise’s room”:  The cottage style furniture set may have been made in Strafford’s Hatch Bedstead Factory but has not been documented.  This style of furnishing was popular in the later half of the nineteenth century.  The pink design on the furniture, in the flower design on the carpet, the chamber set, and the wallpaper indicate this is a feminine room.  The wallpaper dates from the period when the house was owned by Elizabeth Sullivan circa 1940.  The religious photographs on the wall were owned by Justin Morrill.  The sketch of the gothic schoolhouse in Strafford was drawn by Fred Morrill.
