The Maid's Bedroom

The Maid's Bedroom:  The Morrill’s had a live-in maid who traveled between Strafford and Washington, DC to assist the family.  Her name is unknown.  This room has two closets and a steep stairway that goes down to the woodshed.  The calcimine paint is recent and duplicates what was originally in the room.  The woodwork is butternut.  This room was added above the woodshed in 1859 at the time the library was constructed.
